OK guys you might have read some of my other threads. This is an update on the situation with the car. OK the list of things ive fixed so far.
1. Changed all belts
2. Changed all fluids
3. Replaced the Cam Position Sensor
4. Boost Leaks
5. Knock Sensor
6. Motor Mounts - ALL

Im still getting a few problems.
1. Car acts like shit when the MAFS is plugged in wants to jerk when accelerating
2. Car acts fine when MAFS is unplugged
3. I can't get a scanner to connect with the ECU.
4. CEL is still on and wont go off even if I remove battery cables.

Im assuming that the MAFS is just shit and I need to get a new one. But I have no idea what to do about the code reader not connecting with the ECU. Cause it was fine before when I took it to autozone but for sum reason it just stopped wanting to connect. I was thinking about taking it to a MITSU dealership and seeing what they can do but I figured id get some suggestions for u guys or some wiring layouts I can try to mess with to save myself some money. I mean with the MAFS un plugged the car runs like a champ idling problems when its un-plugged but it dun try to jerk when im accelerating. I imagine when I can get the reads off the ECU and fix the last of the problems the car will run like new. SO all problems could be solved if I could just read the CEL. ANY suggestions would be great. Id like to be able to get the car through emissions so I can get it tagged so I can drive it. Many thanks in advance. :hellyeah: :dsm:

I would say the maf is toasted which is why it jerks while driving. If you have the maf unplugged you would get a check engine light i believe. As far as not being able to connect to the ecu I have no idea on that one.

Replace your mas and see if that fixes the problem. Leaking caps = leaking capacitors on the ecu. Usually they start to smell funky, at this point you will have to get your ecu re-built or get another one.

I pulled the ECU out and it looks fine I don't think any of the caps are leaking.
