up and down shaft play need help quick!!?!?

i bought a used b16 ported and clipped he sent it to me had 5000 miles on it. it has shaft play up and down but not left to right its not installed i just took out of the box. is this normal at all. a friend said its becuase there is no oil in the bearings and when you get some oil in the bearing it will go away. but i don't think so. please someone tell me so i know what to do please?!?!?. i haven't installed it yet i'm, waiting on my O2 housing and manifold to be done getting ported.

well, minimal shaft play is normal, could you possibly measure in mm the shaftplay, search the forums, and please dont double post a thread again :x

i just measured the up and down shaft play there is 1mm. is that minimal here is a pic of the inside of the inlet down near the turbine, where its black does that look like the turbine was hitting it????



yah i didn't mean it, i walked outside back to my car than forgot if i posted so hit the post new again on accient.

1mm is like nothing
up/down = norm
in+out = bad
