I took the head off over a year ago and am putting it back together now and can't find where this wire goes. It comes off the main harness that goes toward the motor right near the intake. There are two plugs coming out of the harness in the same spot, one goes to the knock sensor, the other ? A picture is worth a thousand words so check it out (circled). 92 GSX.

That's weird. I read somewhere in this forum that purple oval plugs are ignition? but from what you say I don't need it. Do you have a GSX?

The two pin is the EGRT (EGR Temp) input to the ECU most commonly used with a MAP sensor to log boost or cut inside the car and used as the input for a wideband.
