Uninformed Newbie Question

Hey guys, sorry for the ignorance of this question, but I figure this is as good a place as any for it. I have searched through all the faq's and can't find exactly what I am after. I am in the market for a DSM, an Eclipse to be more specific. I know I want between a 95-99 for the higher hp numbers from the factory. But, are there any exterior designations between the awd and fwd cars, such as badging or markings? I know GSX is awd and GST is fwd, but is this marked on the exterior. Just would like to be able to tell the difference. Same applies for turbo versus NA. How can I tell the difference between the two by just looking at the outside of the car? What is the designation of a turbo motor and one that is NA? Anyone know what an average 95-96 is going for these days. Thanks for the help.

1. well besides the badging, there are no differences between them exterior wise (95-96) but (97-99) had different stock bodykit headlights all together and the gsx came with 17's and gst's came with 16's chrome or alloy five stars rims.

2. turbo vs na. like (95-96) humm. well if its a rs you can if it doesnt have the side skirts on them and they have 14' rims and rear break drums. as for the gs 95-96. they have 16" rims i believe and side skits. thos can be tricky, you have to look at the dash board and look for the stock boost gauge..97-99 rs same applys above. but some gs have a oz rally edition and looks like a t or x with high spoiler and kit. just look at the rims or tail pipe/ gs-rs has single tip while turbos have dual tips. and tubo models 95-96 has a grey 2 tone bottom.. but who leaves there car stock these days as for prices good luck.

Talon turbo says "TSi" on the back and if it is "AWD" that will be right after it.

Eclipse says "GS-T" or "GSX" for the awd.

on the RS also they have black door handles witch u would be able to spot faw away.

If you can see the gas tank in back it is an awd drive car which means it is turboed unless somebody pulled the turbo off.

All AWDs are turbo'd, look under the tail. Also, the 5th VIN character is "K" for FWD, and "L" for AWD.

Easy mnemonics would be

"Knave"

and

"Liege"

A lord or sovereign to whom allegiance and service are due according to feudal law.

also, 2g NTs have the 420a engine...you can just check the sticker if you need to, but if that doesnt do it for you look at the engine, since the turboed models have the 4g63
that and..just drive the car, you'll figure out if its a turbo/non turbo fwd/awd pretty fast
