Worth it or not? I'm thinking of going with the AEM tru-power pulley kit. Anyone used them?

have you talked to people that have used underdrive pulleys? i was talking to a guy at a local shop and he suggested staying away from them because your alternator won't produce enough power to run all of your accessories. i was considering the lightened pulleys from machv... but i decided the gains weren't worth the risk of potential damage

Make sure the crank pulley has a damper on it like this- http://www.machv.com/busracunpul.html

and how do u "professionally" install them? Lol u just unbolt them, take the OEM off, and bolt the AM back on.

Don't bother. The payoff won't be worth the agony.

IMO, no. You will still need slightly shorter accessory belts, though. I went to about a 1/4" shorter (or either 1/2" I don't remember) A/C belt and alternator belt.Originally posted by redturbo66
do you think it's a bad idea to only replace the UDP and no other pulleys?
