I recently finished installing and started a 6 bolt stroker swap into a 95 talon tsi awd. I am using the stock ecu and the engine is tuned with mostly stock components as of now because of low funds. Since i have had the engine running, i have had poor idle and when the throttle would be opened and closed, the car would stall or come close to stalling when the rpms dropped back to idle. I checked the isc and tps for functionality and set the tps correctly. I blocked off the Egr and plugged the lines. I also cleaned the throttle body thoroughly. I am using a 1g throttle body. The isc also tested to have good coils and would engage upon the ignition being turned on. I performed a vacuum leak test and fixed leaky injector seals and no other leaks were present. After i did this, the car wont stall anymore but the rps still drop down lower than idle and it still has rough idle spots. I dont know what else i could test for. I have no check engine light so i would assume the 02 sensors are functioning. Any ideas or suggestions would be awesome. My brother thinks maybe even though the isc tests good, it still may be intermittently bad, but im not sure this will solve my problems. thanks in advance for the help and i wish everyone a merry Christmas.

Just went through a similar issue with a friend of mine. Turns out that the throttle shaft bushing was wasted and caused a vacuum leak. Have you tried using a pressure tester setup that presurizes your intake system from turbo inlet to throttle body?

yes i did a pressure test as stated in my first post and no the shaft seals are not leaking. the problem has seemed to work itself out since my post. I guess the computer just had to "get acquainted" with the new 6 bolt stroker setup. The idle is more normal now
