so i was driving to work and i downshifted to pass someone and it just stalled..... so i looked inside the engine bay to see oil everywhere. then once i started drivin it to work and all i could see was white smoke dumping out my exaust so i checked all my oil lines. everything was tight. so i did a compression test once i got to work. and my 3rd cylinder was gone.... and the oil was going through my vent tube into my intake and out my turbo... so i think i need to get all new pistons put in. im new to this so does anyone have any advice or help?

thanks

a rebild is required and unless the head is removed it hard to say what else went. I have seen everything from engine and turbos go from major engine damage. BUT one thing you need to figure out is WHY did it blow. simple mechanical damage, faulty electronics, improper tune. It could be alot of things. Find a good machine shop that has experiance with either DSM or atlest imports. The V8 shops usually do not have a clue about our cars. Or check locals that can lend a hand.

Or replace with another rebuilt engine but I would still find out what caused the damage. And chances are you will be able to tell that there is collateral damage. Sorry for your loss man, but the way I look at things with my car, is that when something breaks it allows me to bring it back bigger and better!!

ya im gonna be pullin the head off soon to check it out. after i put my new turbo and injectors in i ran it for about a month untuned at 20 psi. so thats what i think killed it.
so im gonna check everyting out and throw in some new pistons and a comestic head gasket and arp head studs. does anyone have any recomendations on what kind of pistons i should get? or any other advice or help? that would be great.
thanks

There are several posts on engine rebuilds. Search around and find somethign that fits your budget and requirements. There is no one answer to this question. BUT I would look for a 6 bolt and do the swap rather than rebuild a stock 7 bolt. 1G rods and 2G pistons are a good upgrade. Then yo uhave a built bottom end, ross pistons, eagle rods, with ARP hardware. Take your time and do your research, just dont jump in head first.

And learn from your mistakes, as bad as that may sound. The car is a simple a simple machine, and if abused like any other machine it may fail. Sorry you had to learn the hard way.

well i got a new jasper motor last summer. then 3 months ago i blew my t-25 so i upgraded to a evo III turbo 650cc all that stuff. well i ran the car for 2 months untuned with messed up safc settings at 19 psi. so im pretty sure thats what caused this.
the constant jumping from lean to rich and not to mention the bad misfire i had b.c of my crappy nology hotwires...so once i got it tuned right. and put in new plugs and wires. the motor was back to running how it should. but my piston was so weak from running it like i had that it couldant handle it.
