when using P4 setting on AEM UEGO Wideband to simulate narrowband to the ecu, do you splice the white analog wire into the ECU o2 wire or do you cut the ECU o2 wire and then wire the UEGO one to the harness side?

Just because I am neurotic and like to be very sure, can I use the AEM UEGO to replace the stock O2 and as a wideband if it is mounted further back on the downpipe, as per the instructions? I am looking at an O2 eliminator and already have my wideband set up, wanted to see if I connected the stock wiring to the blue serial wire on the UEGO if I could eliminate the need to 2 sensors.
Thanks
