Ok Im installing two slim fans on my 1g I have no a/c so i want both fans to turn on when the engine gets warm. How do I go about doing this?

cut the plug off the stock radiator fan, extend the AC fans wires to that area and wire BOTH fans to the positive hi/lo and negative hi/lo of the stock plug.

so there will basically be 4 wires tied together, positive and negative, it will kick the fans on together. search slim fan install on here for the exact wire colors.

I run the same thing on my 2g, I cut off the stock plug and ran the positive and negatives to the fans, I also put a Y in each positive and negative to run it to two fans. I then turned them on via DSMLink to run at all times. So splice into the plug that runs your main fan, not your A/C fan. I don't think it will be different going from 1g to 2g in this case.

Can i just cut the harness from the stock fan and run both fans off the that harness using one stock relay not a/c with out blowing it? These are 12 inch slim fans mishimoto.

I just cut the harness on the stock fan side and spliced my slim fans back into the harness so i could keep the connectors. Main fan and A/C fan are separately hooked up- just like the stock setup. Main fan would come normally but if my engine got hot, i would just click on my A/C switch and both would come on. I have NO a/c either so that worked for me.

Chiming in here. Im hooking up two slim fans in my 90 and read up on this before i started today. I noticed i forgot to remember about the fan switch that plugs into the radiator. When i went back to my old stock fan it was there but not connected to anything. Is it needed and if so where does it go? Also i have no ac fuse box so no ac switch. I had it wired to a switch but read that a lot of current runs through the wires to power these fans. Car is not running and battery is dead. I had the one fan off the switch powered from a 25amp fuse just in a spare spot in the fuse box. So fan switch location, and safer to run my secondary off a switch or wire it into the the pass side harness with the other fan

Thanks in advance

Depending on the fans used, running them both off the stock passenger side fan wiring can catch the car on fire. My spal fans draw 25 amps each, running them both off the stock wiring would melt the wires.

I read about that and why is the reason I just went to stock passenger fan and mishimoto 10" driver side fan with no ac. I believe the 10" is only 6.8amps.
