I have a problem. This started happening a couple of days ago when I went WOT in second gear. My car will run fine, warm up, and then it will start misfiring. My Wideband will lean out completely, Tach will start getting twitchy when I push on the gas, and I have noticed when the car is running in this condition, if I disconnect my spark wires from coil #2 (closest to tbelt) there will be no spark in that coil. The other coil however, has constant spark. Before the car warms up completely, both coils have spark. I have checked for visual signs of ECU damage and have found none.

Can anyone help me further diagnose this problem? The only CEL code that I have is the p300 which is random misfire.

Thank you.

coils tend to go bad when they are hot. warm the vehicle up and check for spark on that coil to see if it is bad. good luck.

I replaced the coil pack and it fixed the problem. Thanks.

it seems my problem has come back today. It's doing exactly the same thing, once car warms up, coil pack #2 stops producing spark.

mine would do the same thing... not 100% sure if it fixed it(found more problems) but i redid all but the ecu... this is including the plugs, wires, coil packs, and the power transistor...
