Backfire and power loss at high RPM's

I have read both of these posts:

Neither of them actually state what fixed the issue so I wanted to start my own thread.

Same issues with high rpm (above 5k usually) and cold weather. Sounds like a backfire and the car bucks for a second under WOT. If I am not at WOT this doesn't happen at all. Also I didnt have this issue three days ago and it was the day my CEL came on throwing a P1500 and P0505 code again. Now I do want to add I live in Colorado and this also all happened the same day the weather dropped to around 38 degrees. I do want to add I have had the CEL codes for about 2 months on and off and this problem isnt always tied to the CEL coming on. Every so often I clear the codes when the light starts bugging me and it will stay out for about 2-3 weeks.

Link is by far the first thing I am ordering when tax time comes, along with the VRSF short route and a high stall convertor from IPT. Then its the three fuel system upgrades (pump, AFPR, injectors) and intake and exhaust manifolds.

Just seeing if there is a temporary fix until then. And also why am I boosting to 18 psi? Its the wastgate that came with the EBAY Evo 16g. I thought these were set to like 14 psi or less !!!

Your wastegate hole is the size of a dime I suspect.
