I was wondering on a high horsepower application if I were to do that. Would a twin disc clutch really do a lot more than a high performance street clutch like the 2600?
Also does it do more to have a lsd or a twin disc clutch? If I were to go high hp(325 hp)?

The act 2100 is good for 350hp 2600 is good for 450hp and the 2900 is good for alot.I have seen a lots people make over 500hp on the 2600 and got lucky with it still grabbing good.Plus you won't probably like the noise and feel the twin disc gives you over a street disc.Just like the other guy said above me it really is overkill.

If twin-disc set-ups for DSMs drive like it did on my Evo with the Exedy Twin HD, I'll invest in one. That clutch was amazing.

act hands down. 2600 is a must for awd but you could get away with a 2100 if your fwd since your going to spin.

whats the torque capacity of that clutch?
Act 2600 and act 2900 cannot find it on google and not listed on supplier sites.

also is there a good 1/4 mile time loss if you dont use a twin disc?

Its unlikely that you will exceed the torque capacity of a 2600 being only fwd. The twin disk would have the advantage but dont piss money away on it to begin with. learn how to drive the car first before you smooth it over. The twin disk will be and expensive clutch to try and learn a new setup on.

You will need an lsd long before you need a twin disc clutch.

I keep hearing bad stuff about the act products these days. Something about quality dropping. Springs fail, and the pressure plates fall apart. I know from experience. I am currently in the market for a new setup myself. Sheptrans.com has helped me a bunch.

Did anyone even care to ask the OP if they were discussing clutch options for his 420A??????????

For that setup, I would stick with a modular single disk clutch/flywheel assembly, you won't have an issue with it.

Check out the South Bend Clutch stuff, specifically a TZ/B kevlar/ceramic dual friction disk with the SS-Series pressure plate and the modular flywheel. They are $520.00 shipped. The specific part number you want is: K70131SSTZB. The 70131 refers to your 420a application (420a 2G eclipse and Neon applications), the SS refers to the 2200# high capacity pressure plate, and the TZB refers to the TZ (kevlar) / B (Ceramic) dual friction sprung hub clutch disk. It is a full-face disk and is made for handling higher power levels and abuse while driving like a stock clutch. This kit also includes the MOPAR throwout bearing.

This clutch assembly uses a 2200# pressure plate and is plenty soft and streetable while easily handling your power levels and won't be too harsh on the transmission.

I would also strongly recommend investing in a Quaife front LSD differential for your T350HD transmission, and down the road, refreshing the transmission to handle the power. The output shaft inner roller bearing and input shaft inner roller bearing are key failure points, along with the input shaft oil slinger, the 3rd gear/shift rail with popout issues, the front diff spitting out its cross-shaft, etc.

I also service these transmissions though they are not too detailed currently on my website.

Your setup does not need a twin disk clutch assembly.

As for K70131 clutch applications, they are found in any 420a vehicle listed below:
1995-2005 Neon (420a)
1995-2000 Dodge Stratus (420a)
1995-2000 Plymouth Breeze (420a)
1995-1999 Chrysler Sebring (420a)
1996-1999 Dodge Avenger (420a)
1995-1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Base/RS/GS (420a)
1995-1999 Eagle Talon ESi/Base (420a)
