Ok i connected the inter cooler piping and just 3 vacuum lines are open the car has a walbro 255 fuel pump and 272 cams and a 1g cam sensor and 6 bolt swap. the car started up fine for 3 minutes but with the help of me giving it gas if i would depress the accelerator it would turn off. after the first start then it started doing the above from the video. a question i have is shouldn't the car be able to idle even if it has no tuning? also... how do i know if the cam sensor is in correct timing...? tomorrow i will be connecting the vacuum lines but they shouldn't be such a big problem or is it to atleast idle?
the SAFC-2 is hooked up can this be an issue to i haven't moved the setting's on it but it can possibly have other settings recorded?

You said the IC piping isn't connected? Meaning a big hole in intake piping... How about you cover the hole..
What do you have for an AFPR? Maybe you're horribly rich?
With the Cam sensor, it's adjustable for 1g's... are you sure it's in good time? Doesn't sound like it, you ignition time may be up to 5 degrees off.
Also below Ambient had a good point.

Okay.. I just stopped the vid at 4 seconds... You have an open throttle body elbow with no way to measure air... Your MAF my be hooked up... but air going to the engine isn't being pulled by it... I'm surprised this started at all... How about you finish the build before lighting it again huh?

car turns on for 2 seconds then shuts off

intercooler piping not connected
1g cam sensor
new 255 fuel pump
new fuel
6 bolt swap

can vacuum lines cause this stalling/no start?
it has 272 cams

Why would you try to start it without the intercooler piping installed? Is the MAF connected? Your car is not metering air or not getting enough to run. You didn't mention whether or not you are running DMLink or Speed Density, so I will assume Link (You can't just run 272's, the motor needs to be tuned)

If anything, hook up all the piping/maf correctly and test.

If it still doesn't run after installing the entire intake properly, see if you can get it to do what it did in the video (run for a second or two). Then try to narrow it down to an air (what seems to be your problem now), spark, or fuel problem. Probably not the latter, as our pumps don't seem to even give sporadic operation when they're on their way out like some do. Mine just went kaput Wednesday.

Why are you in such a hurry to start the car? You should be double checking things an finish putting it back together... Hell you didn't even have the batt in.

Do you have the MAF hooked up. Like they said above everything has to be hooked up before it will run. If the ecu doesnt get a reading from the maf that is correct or close it will be hard to start then start and die immediately just like it was doing in the video. Make sure everything is hooked up and connected properly. It should idle untuned unless it is flooding out horribly bad or leaning out horribly bad. Its either your MAF or your IAC.

yes i have the MAF hooked up...maybe ill try bringing up the idle to see if it stays on by itself and ill check the iac sensor too...will a cam sensor out of time cause it to stall like that?

Hey, is your MAF connected all the time? If it is unplug the connector and try and start it. If your MAF is no good, it won't idle. I just had that problem. If it still doesn't start and idle, you may have a problem with fuel. If it'll start and then die, it may not have enough fuel pressure. Easy way to find out if thats the problem, find the return line of the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) and use a pair of vise grips to pinch off the line (about 2" from the regulator). Don't pinch it completely close, closed enough that fuel can barely, barely pass thru. If fuel pressure is your problem, it should start up and idle. And you don't have to have everything hooked up. I got mines running and start it and drive it(not far at all) with open turbo mani, a breather hose connected to the throttle elbow, and no cooling fans. Its just not a good idea to run it long. Hope this helps.
