Unlike the others I've read, there turn signals or hazards not work, mine unfortunately work but they all work as hazards rather than just normal turn signals. In addition, the back lighting on my gauge cluster tends to flash as well as if something is crossed somewhere. The flasher box has been replaced and so has the turn signal switch... I'm at a loss and I'm trying to keep this cheap before I have a mechanic come to look at it. Any takes on this?

Did you check for bent pins prior to connecting the module? check the Column, check the alarm as well becuase it activates the hazards. Best bet, take apart the column, remove the left switch, and check connections/clean. Could work, there's not many parts in the system.

Is this something that all of a sudden just started happening? Or did you recently do some work on the car that may have caused this?

Cleaning sounds like a good idea as when I bought the car the previous owner said it was sitting out for a while in the weather.

As for it just happening no. I didn't know until I started working on it to get it up to passing standards and found out at the last minute when it was almost ready to go. So I'm kinda at a lost as everything goes off at the same time.

This type of things happens a lot. Usually, when there's a broken Module or bent pin, the hazards will come on when you turn left. I had this problem in my old prelude and I never figured it out. I ended up grounding out the Hazard switch since it overrides the signals and drove 3 years without hazards. try turning on the right blinkers half way where they blinker should come on but it doesn't lock into place. that should be a hint whether it's broken at the switch or module area. good luck

Also, if you want to know how to correctly clean pins and connectors, here's a link. http://www.ohmcheck.com/clean_connector.htm
Use the correct contact cleaner. some will cause a job to go from $5 to $100+ quick.
