i had an out left front side parker or running light whatever you may call it the orange thing on my 2gb i didnt change it for a few days due to other maintence and then i took the bulb out went to advanced auto i got the new bulb for it, i put it in and now it works but it is blinking really fast still as if it is broken. 4 ways work fine.i tryed resetting the battery.. is there any other ideas? maybe swap the bulb with the right sides to see if it works the same there.? there 187 bulbs if i can rember correctly.

easy fix...you have the wrong bulb on there...just look to see what is the bulb # on the other side and match it up...but just fot sh*t and gigs, swap that bulb with the opposite side then see what happens....also just thought of it turn on your lights and make sure that a rear bulb didnt just blow on you....good luck

thanks guys btw the rear bulb still works.

um yest right as i was pulling into my house left hand turn it started to work again so i drove it around allday yest and today and now its fine.? i think im just gunna see how long it lasts anyone know why it took so long to realize that the bulb was fixed? i was really confused but happy 2.

hey it broke shortly after i just tryed a bulb from junkyard, a bulb from the right side and installing the left bulb over there. the marker light stays on, the 4ways work fine but when i put the left turn signal on it blinks fast? possible short? or is a bulb going somewhere soon like a rear or one of the other blinker lights. like inside the headlight.??

Did you checked the fuse for it?
That might be the problem too.
Relais can break but not real often.
At least I haven't experienced it a lot.
And the lights can be the problem but you already checked them.

I am also having the same problem with the blinkers...My right turn signal keeps blinking fast, and ive already changed the bulbs, Front and Rear. Does anyone think it could be the relay or a short? The problem only occurs sometimes. And sometimes the left signal blinks fast. Ive changed the fuse and they worked fine for a day...and started doing it again...

yes i have checked and replaced the fuses for the hell of it when it happened.. and i will try again because i cant rember if it worked for a little after or not.. i am assuming if it works for a little that there is a short in the wire somewhere..

You could try replacing the turn signal flasher relay, they are pretty cheap and easy to swap out. If that doesn't work an intermittent short sounds likely. The wire would probably only short out around a metal edge so I usually start at the light housing and work my way towards the inside of the car.

i dont know if anybody mentioned this already but did you put on that grease stuff so that it stays in?

it keeps it in place and allows the metal to contact other metal w/o becoming too hot, eventually burning out. i had a very similar issue on my old '96 saturn....

i put a little of the grease on but scraped just enough of it off so that the bottom of the bulb just barely contacts the eletrical part. the fast blinking stopped instantly!

Since im having the same issue, Could this be because the 3rd brake light? As mine is out and ive tried replacing it, but found the wire to be all frayed, so now I have to go to the pick n pull and get the connector for that bulb. Unless anyone knows where I can find that wire? Ive looked at oemmitsubishiparts.com and couldnt find it.

I had a similar problem mine works normal then blinks fast. I figured out it was the middle bulb on passenger rear light. The bulb was still good even switching in new bulb did nothing. I realized the ground wire on the light socket was not making a good contact and was causing the problem. I did a quick fix and just wedged the ground wire on side of bulb and socket housing. This worked perfect and so far hasn't blinked funny yet. This week I plan to solder the ground to side of socket for a more permanent fix. Not sure if that helps anyone. Oh this has happen to me on two different sets of taillight harnesses both the same bulb socket kinda weird.

problem was with the rear tailligt i figured i would start replacing all the bulbs and it was the one bulb towards the center where it says eclipse. 2557 if i rember corectly. popped in the new one and has worked fine for the past 2 days. glad it was something easy for a change.

Yea good to hear! I had a bad ground on my high mount brake light, and fixed that, and solved the problem why that light didnt work, why my blinker was on crack, and why my alarm wouldnt shut off after pushing the button. Im with you on the simple and cheap fix!
