Hey guys, are anyone of you using the TurboXs Dual stage High Performance MBC? Are they Accurate? Thanks.

I use one. I think it sucks, very hard to set boost where you want it.

How do you mean? Does the boost level change after you set it?

I have one and it works just fine. I wired mine to the factory pow/econ switch and hooked up the POWER & ECONOMY lights in the dash cluster. With the dual boost set one for street and the second stage for your track psi and log both. Just follow the directions and you will be fine. REMEMBER, start low and gradually turn up the boost ;) .

I'm about to make a purchase of a 3 month old one. The guy is really pressing me for an answer, any input would really help. Thanks.

That's good to hear :thumb: Thanks.

Dude..I bought one for my 99Gsx two months after having the car. The thing failed and went to open boost and blew up my tranny. I now use an Xtreme Technologies MBC and it works great, zero creep. Be careful with XS. I know a few people who have had them crap out.

That sucks about your transmission... But, I doubt that it was the boost controllers fault. People are running 30 psi with heavily moded engines on these transmissions. You must have had something else going on. A boost controller shouldn't be a dummy tool if your boost guage starts to go through the roof then let off of the gas for god sake.

Wow dude...I'm not a newb. Do you realize how fast 20psi rises to 30psi at about 6000rpm on a 60-Trim? It was the boost controller; the ball and spring mechanism malfunctioned as I was told by TurboXS upon sending it back to them, and it was a brand new part. Installing a boost controller isnt rocket science dude so it wasnt my error..And 30psi on a stock non-rebuilt trans..not for long grandson.

Truth...

That is the same reason why I would never put a piece of Home Depot plumbing on my car.

I have had mine for quite some time, I hope the same does not happen to me.

Once again, sorry about your transmission.

I have the turboxs single stage advanced boost controller and it works great it holds boost solid at 19psi on a 16g and i have seen that controller do much more something like 24psi on a sbr gt-13

no the boost level doesn't change on me, it holds fine... Though for the money I have seen better. I can turn the dial less then a 1/8th and and boost levels could be changed by 3-5 psi (just setting where you want it sucks, thats all). A couple of friends of mine just have Joe Blow MBC's, no dual stage that work great!!! They paid a fraction of what I paid!!! You can't beat 35 buxs for a MBC. How often do you plan going to the track?

Hey guys, thanks for all the input. I have decided to play safe and went with a new hallman instead. Thanks again. :thumb:
