ok 2 questions here invoving one thing
here is the part i have a question for.

Does this part take place of the turbo wastegate solenoid?

other question.
do i even have to hook either on of them up?

running stock turbo. greddy type s bov. and some kind of after market fuel pressure reg.

Yes, this replaces that solenoid (Boost Control Solenoid, aka BCS).

You still need to leave the BCS plugged in to keep from tripping a CEL.

However, that boost controler is overkill for your setup. It has two main uses:
1. To run a street boost and a race boost.
2. To run a low boost for low gears and high boost for high gears. Keeps tire spin down.

A $20 manual boost controller will work. I'm actually using the NXS one off eBay. It's pretty generic, but it's working fine even at 20psi.

Are you running straight wastegate pressure?

all hard pipe with stock side mount.
areo fuel regulator.
apex turbo timer.
oil cooler.

i do have this turbosmart thing dual stage. all the pictures i seen show something in the middle of the vacumm line from wategate to the bov/manifold

reasons for having some or any of these aftermart parts: They was on the car when i got it and he stripped the turbo setup from it.


so yea do i even need to have anything in the middle? and if it is a stock part i need doea any one have one or a picture of one so maybe if it is there i can find it. hell ive already bought parts from the dealer that i found in a box in the trunk.

If you remove the BCS you still need to keep it plugged in so it will not trip the CEL, you dont really need to have it hooked up but it does control the boost pressure though otherwise you would be running the wastegate pressure. By the way most people wont like you copying and pasting your post over again just because no one posted yet, if you just wait people will post.

An EBC's boost solenoid will replace the stock BCS and its functions just as a MBC would.
