Turbonetics manifold, v band housing

I just picked up a turbonetics t3 cast manifold and plan to run a precision .82ar v band or 4 bolt hotside. I'm now reading that the 5 bolt housing is the only guaranteed fit, but some v band housings also fit . I don't want the bulky 5 bolt, so does anyone know someone running the setup I'm looking at? I'd also like to avoid using an extra flange and longer studs to shim it out.
