turboing a nt

Im planing on putting a JDM turbo engine in my nt. I want to know if i have to put a 1g engine in or can i use a 2g (arnt they the same). Will i have to do any thing to the tranny I want to keep it fwd.

First of all, I don't know why you would want to put a 2g motor in, but I suppose you could if you wanted to. It would probably be more trouble than what it's worth though. Make it easy on yourself and stick with a 1g.
Secondly, if you are asking these type of questions, you probably don't know so I will tell you. There is no cheap and easy direct bolt up way to convert your 1g FWD to AWD. So there is no 'wanting' in keeping it front wheel drive, it will stay front wheel drive unless you have some very deep pockets or some mad welding skills. The transmission will bolt up the same to a JDM engine than it will a USDM engine. I would advise doing a clutch job while you have the motor out, though. It makes the job so much easier.
