Ive looked for hours and havent found the answer. i would really like a 2step system in my 99 gs...

so my first question is can i get one for a nt, automatic?..... If yes, how much does one cost and what exactly is it?

1) There is no benefit to launch control on a non-turbo street car that is lucky to make 115whp.

2) If you really have to ask what exactly it is after you've asked that it will do more than burn the torque converter out of your non-turbo automatic car, then you really need to do a little more reading. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Launch_control_(automotive)

ROFL @ username, by the way.

I plan on boosting my car by febuary and I'm getting a tranny swap in the beginning of december and I know what it does for launch control I just don't exactly understnad whether its a compiter chip or an ignition. I know it controls your revv limiter so you get almost a perfect launch everytime. And as for streets a 5speed is better. But I know an automatic is better for on the track.
And I used that as my user name because imy friend ryan has a gst with 2step and its amazing and I love the way it sounds and how it makes your car launch.. plus that's all I could think of that wasn't taken

Well you're a long ways from a 2 step. I would build and boost your car before worrying about it. A 2 step can be had with the right tuning software. Also, 2 step is not just a rev limiter.

Read through these forums thoroughly, and look at some of the members who have boosted 420a's before you start modding as it will save you a lot of money in the long run. If you can't find what you're looking for on this site then you're not looking hard enough. There is a vast amount of information here.
Good luck.

I have a few local friends with auto drag cars, none of them use/need launch control. With an automatic your best bet is a staging brake and possibly a higher stall torque converter, if you don't plan on streeting it much. Even still, with FWD your biggest problem with launching will be grip, and launch control devices will only make it worse.

Not nearly as cool as anti-lag.

Regardless, the presence of either on a non-turbo auto is pointless because you don't have turbo lag...and if such a feature on an auto is even more pointless because either feature will not be functional. You need a clutch switch for either one to engage or disengage....something that you don't have.
