I have heard many times that my car needs to be tuned. However, my issue is not to have the car tuned until I get the heating issue under control. I have had my head milled, block decked, brand new MLS headgasket, new thermostat, coolant, new waterpump and there are no leaks except around the radiator. My question is, why will the car still heat up if the charge tube is disconnected at the front bumper (by the innercooler)? Before I even had any head/block work done, it still heated up. I did a compression check and it was at 190. There are no water in my coolant. Please help me...

There is nothing wrong with a MLS gasket if used properly. I see your turbo, what kind of radiator are you using and do you have a FMIC? When I went from a Hahn SMIC to a Hahn FMIC I still had the stock radiator and when my car was idling and not cruising my coolant temps would creep up, I swapped out the OEM rad for a Fluidyne and my issue went away. I would also recommend that you go with a little bit lower temp thermostat since you are boosted.

Thanks guys for the response. I have a front mount innercooler. The thermostat is working. However, I think the issue lies in my radiator. It is a stock radiator. How much was your radiator?

When i was boosted i ran no thermo stat because i had only one fan. If i sat too long the temps would creep up but one problem.

Any leak in a cooling system is a MAJOR problem. Fix all leaks then check again.

Have the cooling system pressure tested. It is possible to have a leak where no coolant leaks out but sucks in air, which causes major overheating issues.

Pull your radiator and take a good look at it, if you ever had a headgasket blow, it could've ballooned the tubes so no air can flow between them; or it could be plugged with dirt, grass, bugs, etc.

Once again thanks everyone. I am going to pull the radiator out and swap with one that does not overheat (i have ten eclipses LOL) and if it doesn't heat up then I know its my radiator. I'll keep you guys posted.
