Is this turbo kit for $1400 a good deal or what would make it better?

thats Mike Harts turbo kit from streetsource.com.(ebay) It seems to be a good kit the wastegate is set at 8psi witch is very high for no intercooler. I have seen intercoolers on ebay for like 200 and i have seen pipe kits for like 120. If you are good with your hands you can make your own pipes for the intercooler, if not go to a shop and they should do it for 200 or less. you will still need a fuel system and a missinglink to make it work.
(ebay)
Walbro fuel pump $90
vortech 12:1 fmu $90
missing link$65

good luck write me for more ?

with this setup what kind of hp will i be looking at? and if i wanted to upgrade later on down the road, would i need to replace everything or just add more parts?

What do i need to do to get my engine ready for the turbo kit? the car has 140,000 miles.

if you use a fmic and keep the 8psi boost maybe 225whp (just a guess)

upgrading down the road is easy just swap parts.

as far as getting your motor ready 140,000 is a lot of miles. you have many routes you can take. do a compression check and make sure you are ok and you should be able to run low boost for a while.

I would take a serious look at a internal upgrade. (pistons rods ect......) you won't be able to run more than the 8psi in bost on a stock bottom end

bosch makes a bov? thats news to me LOL like said in most posts if ur gonna turbo at 140,000 do a compression check first if all your clyinders are reading about 180 across than your good, i forget the exact perfect compression number but i was reading in the 180-190 range on my car 90,000 miles.

Could someone please list everything, that i would need for this turbo kit that is not included in it, like gauges and such. i am looking at getting a complete list of everthing that i will need.

like i said before you will need a fuel system:
12:1 FMU
Walbro 255 fuel pump.
If you pay 1400 for that kit it comes with a boost and a/f gauge. If the gauges don't come with the kit than you will need them.

That is all you need to run a turbo on your car. However, i would strongly suggest that you use a fmic. Because that T3 turbo is wastegated at 8psi and that is a lot of boost for stock internals and no intercooler.

Selmer's got it covered, you need the fuel system and missing link, and the pipes, try dsmotorsports.com for the pipes, you can order them for cheap in their do it yourself section....hope that helps you some
