Turbo upgrade,Injectors?

I think they should be OK. I run 650's on a TDO6H 20G and I have the S-AFCII turned down to around -25% at 4k. And from there on it goes alittle lower till I bring it back to -25% by 6.5k :thumb:

I agree with both. 510cc you can get away with fine, but most people pass over the 18g as a turbo cause there are so mony other, better choices. But if its what you want, to each his own.

If I could get either an 18G or an Evo III 16G for the same price, I'd still get the 18G. In fact, I am-- should be here in a few days. The Evo turbo is a fine choice, don't get me wrong, but the 18G does still flow a bit more. A 20G of course puts either to shame power-wise, but it looks to be more laggy than I'm willing to put up with, and most of the time needs an external gate and a big FMIC for best results. The other two turbos would also benefit from that, but won't suffer quite as much without, IMO.

You don't think the 18G should have a FMIC complimenting it? I know it is a personal choice and it will work without it, as would a 60-1. I just had no idea an 18G could run effiecently and effectively without one.

Well i'm looking into buying a tdo5 18g also i'm buying a 3" turboback,255lph pump, and my question is how well will my 510cc work?would i need 660cc or will i be fine?thanks

I have an 18G with stock injectors(not by choice), and the car runs just fine (when it's running, that is). I don't boost a whole lot though. It's just that you won't be using the 18G to it's full potential, but it will still run fine. I also don't have a FMIC, though I intend on getting one.

Of course the 18G should have a FMIC; all I meant was that you could get away with running the SMIC a little more easily with the 18G than with the 20G. A good FMIC is definitely in my near future plans.

I'm running a Big16G on the stock SMIC now; and the TD06 18G I'm getting next week is supposed to be a little more efficient, which should only help-- less heating up of the air charge is always a good thing.

I feel ya on that. My setup is being "revamped" right now and I am FMIC-less on my TDO6H. It is definitely coming soon. Just waiting for the funds. :(

I'm gonna have to agree with everyone hear to as dumb as that sounds the evo 3 is awesome for the price and 20g is laggy and the need for external gate is expensive.the 18g does flow better than the evo.I definatly thing people should look into more efficient side mounts cause you still flow air to the radiator and you still got the sleeper effect goin. With the 18g choice i want to be a little different than everyone i like not being a "me too" person.thanks for the replies they really helped
