Ok heres the deal, I bought a gsx about a half a year ago and it came with a square hole cut in the console. The owner said he was planning to mount a turbo timer there sometime. Later on I buy one and thought i might as well use the hole. I have everything wired up, but now I need to might a way to mount it. Whether it may be plastic trim, caulk, etc. I need suggestions!:aha:

i wanna make it look flush with the console at the same time

well because its fairly small, im looking for more of a bezel instead of a mount

belive it or not black hot glue works really well just take the consol out and use it behind there thats what car audio installers use behind tweeters and other stuff actually very sturdy

sounds like a good idea, but i cant find it anywhere. do i have to get it online?

You might first want to get a file and clean up the edges of that hole, it'll go a long way to making it look better.

For hot glue, try any arts and crafts store. Micheal's, or Joann's will have it. And to make it look a little cleaner, some black caulk may help to fill in the gaps left over.

i hope im not coming off as the "trash that project its a bad idea" type of person by posting this but it looks like you've got A LOT of headache just to mount a TT. the only way your going to be able to make it look nice and make it sit flush is fiberglass work.

i would suggest an easier and more cost effective way to get that thing mounted and looking clean is to head down to a local junkyard and find a grey center console $30. then mount your HKS type -1 TT using the 3m tape that came with it in that same location! mines been holding strong for 8 months now and its still solid...

WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA! BEFORE you go gluing things listen here padowan! LOL I had a buddy who had the same problem as you about a year ago in his 2g. What I did was took some vacuum line, (smallest line you can get) and then took a razor and split it right down the middle then I lined the square cut out with this stuff and stuffed his TT in there. The vacuum lining not only made the edges of the square cutout look really good, but it held the TT in there pretty tightly too. I definitely recommend doing that instead of any kind of glue. Remember, sometimes you have to take things apart to get to other things or whatever. So if you glue that in and for some reason have to remove it, its not gonna be easy. And I really dont think glue's gonna look good either
