Turbo Timer and alarm?

Is there any way of making these two work together?

My car doesn't have an alarm and i plan to install one but is there any way of making them both work together?

i think it depends on the alarm you get. I Phuck3d myself over when i bought one that automatically unlocks the doors once the engine shuts off. I think they have some that arm themselves 30sec after the engine shuts off. Just make sure you talk to whoever is doing the install and tell them your concerns they should know how to wire it up to work right.

I went to TopSPeed by chinatown down here and had an alarm intsalled , but the guy said I wouldnt be able to turn the alarm on while the trubo timer is shutting the car down. Then , at a dsm meet I sawa guy with an evo and he turned his alarm on while his car was turbo timing. I was like wtf!

Was it a stock or aftermartket alarm? My stock one works with my TT, but you need to hook up an after market one different to work with your TT, I have the link somewhere. If you want it let me know.

i have a similar issue i had a HKS turbo timer installed working fine then yesterday, my car got installed a remote door lock and enginge starter kit, and they TT doens work anymore it makes the beep noise but no display.

any help on this

Just so you know a TT can be wired up with relays to work with any alarm systems. I know because I manage a car audio and installation bay. If you need help let me know what alarm you have and what TT you have along with the vehicle year and model and I will send you the diagram. [email protected]

What's surprising about that? I have an Apexi TT and Viper 791 and I can arm the alarm anytime including when its timing down. Hell I can arm the alarm while I'm driving if I want. I don't see what the issue is here?

Invest in the Viper 791, it has the option of a turbo timer built in

That alarm is one of nicest ones out there and the one I have. Gotta have the 2-way pager though. Unfortunately they lied a bit about its range. 1/2 mile my ass, more like 150 yards!

You might want to check where the antenna is installed. If the antenna is not installed in a good location like the front window then that will decrease the distance. Some installers are lazy and will stick it under the dash or under the headliner both of these will decrease range.

Does anyone know why I can arm the alarm while the car is running, but when the timer stops, the alarm goes off? Some help with that would be great. Thanks

It sounds like one of you acc wires is tagged wrong or the alarm is usually tied to a door trigger which works off the dome light. Check to see how long it takes for your interior lights to go off. Mine stay on while the tt is running. If that is the case then when the tt goes off and it takes a few seconds for the light to go off then your alarm thinks that the door has been opened.

Y dont you buy this alarm from ultra starter (model 4500), it come with a built in turbo time, car starter, 2 way pager, alarm, ETC. Bought mine for $150
