I have read the tuning guide many times and also done some searching but I am kind of confused on turbo sizes... I hear the words T25 14b b16g 20g T3/T4 small 16g.... but what psi do they flow?? and I am kind of confused because I read posts that said 16g at 10 psi compared to T25 at 10psi will give more hp because of more air flow? aghhh I don't know a thing

! Now take a small T-25 (stock turbo on 2G 5-speed) or 13B (stock turbo on 2G automatic tranny) turbo and slap it on, and it will spool up fully by 3-4K RPM (sorry dont know exact numbers) but it won't nearly be as powerful.as a bigger turbo. Now these two examples are the extremes of a "scale". You have to balance it out for your needs. Lets say you autocross. When autocrossing you don't use much power in the upper RPM ranges, so you would benefit from a smaller, faster spooling turbo. But lets say you dragrace. You are always in the high RPM range, so you would benefit more from a bigger, more powerful turbo. I hope this helps! I tried to explain it as simple as I could. I'll explain one more quick thing thats more advanced - hybrid turbos. I'm still learning about these so double check this info
. These are turbos with smaller exhaust "wheels" but large compressor wheels (like the "wheel" (is that even the correct term) that pushes the intake air). So the exhaust wheel will spool fast (less mass for the exhaust gases to push so it will spin faster) but the compressor wheel will still push tons of air cause its big - the compressor and exhaust wheels are hooked together with a shaft. The exhaust gases turn the exhaust wheel, which then turns the compressor wheel. As the compressor wheel spins, it pushes the intake air into the intercooler, which then goes into the throttle body.
