turbo problems

i dont know the name of this part i need it to install my fmic. the piece comes straight off the turbo and runs to the intercooler piping. anybody have the correct name for it? i need a 2.5" replacement that faces toward the driver side of the car. the stock piece faces the passanger side

Sounds like the j-pipe to me. Many of the vendors will have this piece for you on their website

+2 J pipe it's called..The vendors sell it for 69 bux I think..But some fmic kits come with it..

would it be easier to get one made at an exhaust shop? because i only have the stock t25 and the intercooler side of the j pippe has to widen out to 2.5"

If the car your putting it on is the laser a t25 is not stock 1g parts....That's a 2g stock part..You should have a 14b..Which then the j pipe should be direct bolt on..

i thought the 1g automatic was a t25. and my aftermarket gauge is reading 12 psi is this correct for stock?

Actually you have a 13g if it is automatic... 14b if its manual. That's for 1g.

All turbo 2gs come with the t25 stock..

It's 13g. You will probably have to custom fab up something yourself. Most don't put a front mount on a 13g

13g is smaller than a 14b but spools faster.
+ 1 on a custom j pipe i haven't seen any j pipes for 13g's since there is no gain on putting a FMIC with that turbo.

All you are doing is adding a bit of lag because of the extra space in the system that needs to be filled with air. On a positive note at least you're getting ready for a bigger turbo in the future. The side mount does pretty well on small turbo's. I have a front mount on my 16g but I hardly think it's helping at stock power levels.

thats not good its already lagging pretty bad, but thats probaby just the exhaust leak. so dont do the fmic until i get a bigger turbo and more mods?

Thats what I would do. My fmic stayed in the garage from last December until just this summer when my little t25 was trashed. Just fix all leaks, get your maintenance done and start on our upgrade path on here.
