Turbo Problem? need help fast!

ok, first off my car idles crappy, there is no tube from the BOV to the turbo, don't really care about that, I got a hole in my brake line, getting it fixed, but now the real p[roblem, I have an evo 3 16g turbo, MBC, stock sidemount, fuel, k&n filter, stock internals, my problem is that when I floor or near floor the pedal it builds boost but the whole engine shakes real bad like the turbo is bogging the car down or something, sometimes it runs ok with small bogging/loss of power, and others it's really bad. I turned the boost up to 17 the other day to see how it would do but I turned it back down after I realized my IC would heatsoak and my car wasn't ready for that yet, so I turn it down and I find out that after about three days, I'm building boost, but the engine acts like it can't be boosted, whats going on with my car, any ideas?

datalog your car to see what's going on.. i would also perform a boost leak test.

It doesn't help either that you are blowing off to the atmosphere. Thats alot of unmetered air your MAS isn't calculating.

I don't have a datalogger and I don't know how to do a boost leak test, I'm about to sell this car in 2 weeks and I don't want to give the guy a P.O.S. any other ideas?

yes, do yourself a favor and get a datalogger. and you can very easily make an intake leak tester with instructions from vfaq.com

i would be willing to bet if you recirculated your bov, you would fix alot of the problem at least. If you do that you can try to pinpoint the problem a little better

replaced the boost controller and it runs fine now, maybe the other one was old? oh well, thanks anyhow for the help.
