Turbo Please Help!!!!!

hi im having a big problem on my talon tsi 1995, the car does not have a boost controler but it was boosting 10 pounds i guess someone mess with the westgate actuator lately psi gauge has been reading 5 psi exept of 10 and when the turbo kicks in the car starts to bug out it feels like if there is not enough explosion it wont go anywhere and rpm wont go past 5 thousand. it feels like the car missfires or something, can anybody please but please help me.

Check the following and see if this helps:

1. Boost leaks (check your I/C piping and intake hoses and make sure the clamps are tight)
2. When was the last time plug wires were done? If not within 20k miles, replace them.
3. Make sure you're running NGK BPR7ES plugs gapped to .028.
4. Also make sure that the intake pipe on the turbo inlet side is tight.

Barring any of that, it could be the actuator but I would try those other things first.

I'm guessing its a boost leak as well. If you are on your stock BOV, I've heard of a few people who have had really bad boost leaks because of a bad spring in them. A pressure test should reveal all.

As for the actuator, reach down and see if the arm moves at all. If it locks open, it won't build boost very well and if it locks closed you'll have crazy boost. Just take a second to verify that it moves...if it does, chances are you are fine.

i check all of those it wasent i belive it might be the injectors can this be because when the car is boosting it feels like the car needs more gas it bugs i disconected the westgate actuator and it only boosted 10 psi before the car hesitated like there was no explosion (like when it overboost.) can it be the injectors or anything with the fuel would these effect the boost??

When you said you checked, does it include a real boost leak test? If not, do one.
