Thats a good turbo for what you are trying to hit. Like everyone else on this forum will probably say, just have some of the mods that will take advantage of that turbo

-upgraded injectors
-Fuel Pump
-Def. A wideband and egt
-AFC
-boost controller
-a 3 inch downpipe and 3 inch exhaust system

and other goodies......

Good luck with the turbo hunting

Yes, you will definetly want some supporting mods to that. Make sure you get all proper gauges for it, you'll want atleast boost and air/fuel gauge. Get a boost controller ovbiously. Another good thing to get to is a o2 housing. If your going for your car to sound mean, go with a external dump, ive heard that they are extremely loud once the turbo kicks in. Follow the DSMTuner Tech Guide as well. Good Luck and i hope you achieve your 500hp goal, it will be worth it once your done!!!! ;)

Are you actually using this on a drag car or a drag/street car. T3 setups are great but if you are only shooting for 500hp I would try for something along the lines of a 60trim or 60-1. If you really wanted to you could do it with a 50trim to decrease some of your spool-up time. I have never personally been a fan of T3 or T3/T4 turbo's. I find it is much easier to stick with Mitsubishi style turbo's. If you are running a drag car I would recommend just using about 3-4 ft. of 3" exhaust piping after the o2 housing just to keep the exhaust gases out of the cockpit. No reason for an external dump. Making that much power you might as well get an external wastegate. External dumps aren't as great as they seem. They are loud and release hot gases into the engine bay and heatsoak everything. Also great at burning up alternator's. Boost gauge's are fine along with EGT's and oil pressure one's but I would go with DSMLink for tuning and get an electronic boost controller. Other than that it's pretty easy to know what you need to do and tune. Good Luck.
