(Stock turbo) im having a problem with building boost in the higher gears. you dont notice it much in 1st and 2nd but 3rd after 3,000 rpms it sounds like its just reving freely w/ no power. my stock boost gauge is pinned to the very top. i still get boost at slight throttle but once i start using the gas more then half throttle it just sounds like the engine is reving with no power or boost? any help please?

Very plausible, may be a leak too however just depends. May need to just replace/ repair just in case. I always do because I maintain more than repair since I replace before it is totally out. Things break though it's a DSM.

idk im just confused because i still get boost, but when i go wot or more then half throttle pass 3k rpms the boost just stops and the enigne just revs

cant tell my speedo doesnt work LOL.. the rpms go up after 3k but pretty slow with no boost, sounds like all motor.

Why does everyone who suspects a turbo system issue create a thread before doing a boost leak test or, at the very least, checking for shaft play?

Honest answer- there's nothing that any of us are going to do to diagnose your possible turbo failure from a vague description over the internet.

My first two checks are BLT and shaft play.
