Mississauga,
hey, i have a garret turbo and i just just wanted to know what would be the best engine oil to use for best performance/ turbo life.

Any quality full synthetic such as Mobile 1, Royal Purple, Redline, etc. would be your best choice. Or, if the synthetic is too pricey you could just use a conventional oil and change it more often like I do.

Olive oil works the best for turbo cars. Maybe some peanut oil or safflower works well too. It gives that nice rich smell, but you have to be careful of the relatively low burning temperature.

This thread should end NOW! Please Lock this, as it's been done time and again. If you've done any searches, there are far too many that have rehashed this topic. If you are looking for a synthetic oil, they are close to the same and it depends on price with pretty definitive cost to work put in ratio. (Not necessarily better oil, just more research has gone into it.) Natural oils are all across the board and are not recommended for high performance engines with low machine tolerances. Done. No more discussion.

I agree

I use flaxseed oil and mystery oil. They dont call me rice anymore.. They call me fries!

I use whale oil. Sometimes when I'm stuck, I'll drain it into a tortoise shell and light it as a lamp.

I sometimes use deer fat as well when my boat is down for maintenance and can't hunt for whales.
