This is my first Turbo eclipse and this leak is worrying me.its a 98 Gst, 116k miles with a knockoff 16g Turbo and fmic running only 12 Psi. I don't believe its a huge leak but it does cause smoke under the hood, and just now my exhaust is smoking. Is this due to the oil feed line causing the exhaust smoke?

Please help I really can't afford any major repairs. Also the smoke is gray not blue.

I had the same problem before, check that feed line that connects to the turbo, your crush washer might be the problem. when I bought my car the owner hack the feed line and gettho rig it with rubber hose and a clamp, that clamp came off and the rubber started to melt.as soon I fix that problem it started leaking again and found out that my crush washer is no good as well. so, check those lines and the crush washer. if you dont know what's crush washer is. it's just like a regular washer but it's copper so when you tighten the banjo bolt down it will make that seal.

Ok ill try it when I get home and it cools off. Anything special I need to do when removing the line?

i believe you need 17mm to undo the bolt but I cant remember, search it, it should be here. you need to take off atleast the fan to get room and loosen the exhaust manifolt that holds the housing, to get more room you can take the radiator off, but i manage with just the fan off.

Also I hear a sound that sounds like a cricket when it idles. Lol from timing belt side.

does it sounds like ticking? if it is it's your lifter, 4G63's are prone on ticking from lifter, thier fine it's just annoying. does it goes away when the car is warmed up?

Fixed

I believe it does.

I have another oil leak somewhere on the backside of the engine bay that leaks directly onto my exhaust. Any idea what it could be without tearing anything apart?
