Turbo motor swap.

Hey there,

Heres the deal. I have been trying to seach the forums for anything on this but havent got what I needed. Im sorry if this is kicking a dead horse.

I have a 1990 Laser RS Turbo 5 speed. It was hit in the nose totaling the car. I have recently bought a 1990 Laser N/T 2.0 5 speed. What I need to know is what do I need to pull off my Turbo car for the swap? I know cars ( American Muscle ) but have never done too much with my DSM so this is all new. Will I need to pull the wiring harness? I know from reading that the head is the same except for the cams, and I want to use the tranny from the n/t car until I can get my turbo tranny rebuilt. Any help would be great. This site has aleady been a great help with the whole process.

I would say your best bet is to continue to search. Then come back with specific questions.

Will I need to Pull the wiring harness out of the turbo car for the swap? I dont know what else will swap from one car to the other, So that makes serching any specifics kind of hard. Thanks for all your help.
