turbo motor in non turbo 1st gen

i was wondering if a turbo motor will work in my non turbo 94 talon. i have the 4g63 motor and was also wondering if i can just use all the components on the non turbo engine in the turbo engine. i already have the motor and i have pretty good knowledge of cars considering i work at a dealership. i just dont know if the stock non turbo ecu will be able to handle boost. i have seen other cars that are not meant to be turboed run fine with a stock computer running boost. but i do not know about the 4g63 first gen. i you could please let me know if you have ever heard or know anything about this. thanks rob also are the transmissions the same its a 5spd.

For all the time, money, and effort it requires to do something like this you would probably be better to find a dsm that is already a turbo model. There are quite a few differences and it will require alot a research and hard work. I'm pretty sure the turbo transmissions are different from the N/A models.

I say do it. I got all my turbo parts for $80, but I looked around a while... all you really need besides that are injectors and ECU (and two looong wires)

check this site out http://vfaq.com/index-main.html there are a few write ups on what you are going to do yes it can be done you will need a turbo
turbo ecu
trubo resitor pack
turbo tranny non turbo and turbo flyweels are diffrent size
turbo mass air sensor i have one for sale
turbo injectors and fuel regualtor

you will have to do some rewiring for the mass air flow sensor theres a write up on the site i gave you i think im forgeting one or two things but im not totally sure

thats what i am thinking the only thing i dont have is the ecu. and thats what i need to know is if the n/t ecu will hold up to boost. i am not trying to run alot of boost. i just blew up my non turbo motor and i have a 7 bolt turbo motor sitting around fully assembled. so will i need to get a different mass air flow sensor to and will have to wire that up and what else. like i said i am a mechanic i can all the wiring without a problem i just need to know what all exactly it is that i need

I think you're thinking he's trying to put a 4g63 in a 420a car. If not, then read up on the link posted.

no it will not work. the stock ecu you have is for 240 or somthing like that for injectors the turbo injectors are 440s the timing for the injectors will be way off and the injectors will be left open for to long under boost cuasing it to break up under boost or run pig as rich not a good idea
