I have the 60-1 turbo kit for my dsm. I finally got the car back on the road after it sat for about a year. The car ran great for a week and today i was driving on the interstate and it was boosting (15 psi) and all of a sudden it stopped boosting. I finally got the car cooled down and pulled the intake pipe and the turbo is locked up (wont spin at all). I checked the oil and it is fine and I just changed the oil 2 days ago so I know it was getting oil.

Anyone have any ideas why this would have happened?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Pull the exhaust side and make sure nothing got caught in the blades. Could also be oil starvation, in any case you have to pull the turbo. Good luck.

Has your turbo timer been doing it's job? Maybe carbon build up in the bearings? Any more info would help.

I will have to pull the turbo off next weekend (I'm out to sea right now) but the turbo timer has been working fine. IF it was oil starvation wouldnt my oil pressure have changed? It all stayed normal just lost all boost, and is now extremely slow, but it still drives.

Thanks
Jeremy

maybe something got clogged up in the oil line running to the turbo?
This is common when teflon tape is used on the oil fitting threads.
