Hey Guys I Need Some Help. When I Was Driving My 4g63t Today I Was Pushing It A Little Hard. After I Was Done Playing Around I Tried Going To 2nd Gear I Step On The Gas Pedal And Try To Boost My Car Felt Like It Was Jerking And It Wouldnt Past 3k Rpm . I Kept Stepping On The Pedal And It Keep Jerking Like It Had No Power.i Called One Of My Friend And He Said It Could Be That My Clutch Is Almost Gone. Any Advise I Would Really Appreaciate It Thanks

Could be the clutch slipping, but also you might want to check your plugs and wires to eliminate them as possibilities.

check your plugs. running a mas car to rich will foul out plugs fast. ive never seen a slipping clutch cause jerking, but its definately possible. usually with a slipping clutch when you get on the accelerator your rpms will go up like normal but you wont be goin very far.

to test the clutch to see if its slipping ... put your e-brake on, then put it into high gear, get the rpms to about 2000 then take yur foot off the clutch...pretty much just dump the clutch and it should stall but if the clutch is slipping it will slip the eventually grab and then you know you have a bad clutch

I've never heard of a slipping clutch causing a car to jerk. When it slips, you won't feel it jerk, you'll hear the engine rev faster when you push harder on the gas. It usually happens to higher gears first and then work it's way down. What boost are you running?

Dude, Stop Capitilizing Every Friggin Word In Your Sentence!! Anyways, like they said check your plugs first off. It they're good get a boost tester and check for leaks. Possible your leaking a little bit of boost and the cars acting up.

Guys how is the clutch slipping when he said he can't go past 3 K, do you guys know what a clutch slipping feels like? You go WOT and the car revs all the way to redline but your car isn't moving much. That is a clutch slipping, you my friend either have a boost leak (Most likely), or something defect in your ignition system.

1. Boost leak test
2. Spark plugs with proper gapping and wires
3. Coil pack/Power transistor
4. Maf (Or you can check this before the coil pack).

Anyway, those are the suggustions, and I know one of them will fix the problem. Test everything out and update us.

Great way of ruining your transmission. You know how you test if the clutch is slipping, go WOT then see if your speed builds up with the RPM. If your RPM's climb too fast and your not going moving much compared to your RPM, then yes there is your slipping clutch.
