Ok..heres my issue. About a month or so ago I put an Eclipse GSX engine and tranny in my car. We didn't swap wiring harnesses or anything, we just added the extra wires that we needed. We also kept the non turbo computer and injectors. My boost guage was reading at only 8 psi, but I figured that was normal being I have the non-turbo injectors and computer. Well the other night, me and a buddy decided we were going to put the turbo injectors and the turbo computer on the car to get more boost, like maybe 10-11 psi. We put everything on and cranked it up and it ran smoothly. But when I took it down the road hardly any boost at all. Although the guage read 10 psi. However it was SLOW as hell. So I put the non-turbo computer and injectos back in and it boosted 8psi and you could feel it. It was fast again. WHY cant I run the turbo computer and injectors with the engine its meant to be on?!?!? If someone could shed some light on this subject I would be VERY greatful!!!!!! PLEASE HELP!

did you put the resistor pack in when you "switched to the turbo ecu"?? also if you kept the nt ecu there shouldn't have been any wires you needed to add. did you follow any of the tech articles or come up with some hack job of the two acknowledged ways of doing it?

I followed the tech articles. There were 4 wires that I was supposed to add. I'm not sure if the mechanic that helped me out put the injector resistor pack on or not. He mentioned something about it but I was running wires to the computer. But when I get home I'll check. If it wasn't added, how do I wire it?

obviously you didn't follow the tech articles. the tech articles tell you exactly what parts you needed to use to make this work. you only needed to add the wires if you were running the turbo ecu, if you run the turbo ecu you need to run the turbo injectors, if you run the turbo injectors you need to run the resistor pack. simple as that.

do you even know what 4 wires you added??

also never have a "mechanic" help you with this unless he has lots of experience with dsm's in specific. the average mechanic knows less about doing something this extensive than you do. if you can tighten a bolt and know the different pars of the motor you will know as much as he does. now if things start going wrong on a stock automobile a mechanic's experience will prove its worth, but in this case since you mis-wired the ecu he'd have no idea what was going on since its nothing like a stock vehicle at all.
