lately i have paying attention to my gage, and what i notice is a strange things, when i start accelerating the turbo Gage goes up till i hit 3k rpm, and the needle drops although way down. and this happen on every gear. performance wise you feel the drop in performance if i drive on streets, but on freeway i don't really feel that difference. i have added a greedy blow off valve type rs, exhaust, intake, 10.5 wires and the free mods. i did have a broken exhaust manifold stud which i could not take out, so a shop recommended to use some glue that is made to hold up such heat. and i have changed the exhaust manifold gasket.
sorry for the long post, but I'm just wondering if the problem is with my Gage mostly or it is related to the engine

I would say if you feel the drop when the gauge drops, then there's more to it than just the gauge. If you feel absolutely nothing different yet the gauge drops, then it's probably the gauge. Since you said you can feel a difference in performance when the gauge drops pressure, you've probably got another issue somewhere else. Check for a boost leak somewhere.

And...

Glue on the exhaust manifold?

is this an aftermarket gauge or the piss poor excuse for a gauge stock one? if its the stock one stop looking at it and go buy a real boost guage. if its an aftermarket swap it out w/ someone else's gauge and see if your is just fubar'd. then you can go from there.

There are many threads concerning the stock gauge, but the short version is that it is 100% useless and its erratic behaviour is nothing to worry about. It will continue to move up and down in meaningless ways because it's just guessing what the boost is by measuring the vacuum.. or something like that.. (i'm no expert)

If you want an accurate boost pressure reading, you'll have to get a real boost guage.
