I'll be getting a turbo soon but cant decide on which one to get. My goal is 400+awhp on pump gas. I've been looking at the fp3052 and 3065 but theyre pretty expensive at 2000 for everything. Are there any other turbos that I should look at that are cheaper and hit full boost by 4k ?

im thinking the 60-1 with internel wastegate. Anyone own one ? How do you like it ?

If you don't like to control boost go ahead and get an internal gate on a turbo that large. And lack of boost control doesn't mean lots of boost on top...it could also lead to the gate opening up early and not giving you the desired boost level that you were looking for. I had an internally gated 60 trim back in the day (from PTE) and had nothing but trouble with boost control. Spend a couple extra bucks and get an EG.

If funds permit go with the Fp3065. Most people go with cheaper alternatives but end up getting one of the Fp turbos later down the line. Also go external gate to help control boost better. I have problems keeping a 14b w/ 34 mm flapper from spiking with my 2.4l so could only guess that with a bigger turbo it becomes more of a problem.

I've heard good things about borg warner turbos. also, if the FP30xx series is too costly for you i can highly recommend the FP Green. I previously ran that turbo and it worked out real great with an external gate mounted off of the o2.

can anyone compare the 60-1 and the 3065 ? They should perform about the same, right ?
