been searching around, alot of good info but im in a slightly different situation.

currently running my 14b of the head feed, no issues, runs great.

going to be remote mounting my oil pressure gauges (stock gauge sender, oil pressure switch and innovate MTX-D oil pressure sensor) into an oil manifold, as i suspect the innovate sensor is reading falsely due to vibrations (my car vibrates alot).
originally i was running shell rotella t6 10w40, and at hot idle i was seeing readings as low as 0 psi. @ 3-4k pressure was 30-40 psi, 6k+ was 60-70 psi.
ive since switched to valvoline 20w50 vr1 racing oil and hot idle is up to 12 psi. 3-4k: 45-50 psi, 6k+: 75+, nothing over 90 psi as far as ive seen.

ive ordered new innovate sensors, and have new oem sensors installed. pressure switch is verified working, as is stock pressure sender.

im curious if dead-heading the sensors into the oil manifold will be the best way (will be on a 12" -4an line from FFOFH clean port to the manifold) or if a pass-through design is a better idea, E.G.: OFH>-4an line>oil manifold>-4an turbo feed, while blocking off the head feed.

second half of the question: when using a .075" restrictor, does it matter how close to the restrictor is to the turbo? for ease of install, i was going to install the restrictor on the "out" side of the oil manifold, then to the -4an feed line straight to the turbo.
my only worry with this setup, is time it will take to get oil through the restrictor to the turbo. then again, i should easily see oil supply and pressure by the 3-4 second minimum for the turbo on start up. i will be going to a holset turbo in the not too distant future, so the OFH sourced feed would be useful, but if i can dead-head the oil manifold and be alright, ill just leave the head feed on for now since i know it works.

any opinions would be appreciated!
 
Bump for thoughts?

I'm thinking I'll try the pass through design, and weld/redrill the fitting, or drill and tap for a set screw style restrictor, so I can swap it easily when I got holset.

Mostly I'm wondering about the void left in the manifold (oil draining out) during shutoff, and if done in a dead head configuration, will it damage any gauge diaphragms by compressing the air in the line?
