Turbo Bolt size

Am still waiting on a bolt for the turbo to manifold to come, but i need my car running for tomorrow.Can i just go down to the hardware store and buy the one bolt that i need? if so, what size do i look for?

MOST DEFINITELY NOT. I'm not even going to tell you the size, those bolts are grade 11's and no hardware store sells those.

If you only need 1 of the 4 bolts that mount it to the exhaust manifold and ABSOLUTELY need to drive your car just mount the 3 bolts. You'll have an exhaust leak but the car will be driveable until the 4th bolt comes in.

Yes there will be a big loss of power... be patient and do it the right way. I don't know how many DSM hoods I've opened up to see SS hardware from Home Depot holding on the turbo.

When you do install the bolts use anti-seize, its a grey/silver colored paste you put on the threads. It keeps the bolts from seizing in the hotside of your turbo from all the heat cycles.

Actually no, it didnt. Thanks for the link though. In fact, i did look at the other threads only to find variation in sizes to the bolt, but also NONE stating that i shouldn't use hardware bolts to bolt up the turbo.
