Okay, I fugged up one of the bolts on the turbo manifold connection.
Luckily!--- it did not break, but the threads are very bad on the bolt itself so I'm assuming the threads in the housing are the same way.
Now I need to retap this hole to the proper thread size: What thread size (tap) do I need to fix it? I searched all through this site and I found nothing.
Via vfaq:
"Last I use a vise or get a friend (wife) to hold the turbo and thread it with a 10mm tap (Clockwise). It is hard to do but worked for me due to the built up rage from the whole process. Remove the tap when down far enough that the turning is easier (Through Housing) or to get enough bolt in to hold manifold down snug."
So my guess is that its a 10mmx1.5 tap?? Can someone verify this so I don't #### this housing up anymore than I already have.
Anyone have experience with FFWDconnection's turbo-manfold bolts? They seem like a good buy and even cheaper than OEM ones.
Thanks!
Andrew
