Hey im looking in getting a new turbo for my 97 gst and need help ive tried looking all through here and need some help on picking a turbo that would pretty much bolt on with out a lot of modding the engine bay for it. any ideas???

Ive been looking into the 16g us there much of a difference from the big 16g compared to the regular one at all?

thanks that looks like something i could look into. the downpipe in the pic thats not the actual turbo is it? trying not to sound annoying im new to the whole turbo scene, sorry bout that didnt realize it was in the wrong section

Yeah, this definitely does not belong in this section. Is there a moderator in the house? :thumb:

Anyways, as for turbos. 20G, T28, Hell even a 16G. All Mitsu turbos will bolt on. With the 20G and T28, you'll be making pretty decent power up to 350hp-400hp depending on setup. The only changes you'd have to make for the 16G are different oil lines and a J Pipe.

thanks i ended up going with a evo 3 big 16g but im gunna get 550cc injectors and take it to the local tuning shop and get it tuned and out it on the dyno

unless you're getting a 20G built with a different exhaust turbine, you're going to need a T3 manifold to get it to bolt on, so it's probably not your best bet for a turbo requiring not a lot of modifications.

I don't recommend 550cc on evo3, unless your goals are around 15 or no more then 18.
I have the same set up and my 550's are over running, I will upgrade them for 750 or 850's to boost up to 20 or 22psi.
Cost $ from 550 to 850s is not a big difference.
