I have a huge bogging problem that started out as every once in a while but now is just about all the time now. I am stock except intake and exhaust. If the bearings are sticking on the turbo then wouldn't I not get any boost? Because I am still getting full boost and the turbo sounds like it is spooling fine I am just not going anywhere. :(

i have the same problem with my car, changed the plugs and wires on my car and did a leak test. anything else it could be besides the turbo needing rebuilding?

but it only does it sometimes. Also update I have changed the mas, all injector seals, and upper intercooler pipe all were leaking boost. But I still have the problem. Also my car doesn't hold the boost during a leak test it all goes out the exhaust. Whats wrong.

I am going to say its the caps on the ECU leaking pretty bad. I had similar problem with my ECU where it would sometimes do it then sometimes not and then it woudl do it all the time. I replaced everything over the course of months that could throw check engine lights. One hting i never even looked at was the ECU, which i should have. It was an E-Prom ECU i completely destroyed.

Take the ECU out, smell it and if u smell sea food, open it up. If the caps(capicitors) are leaking there fluid and ur board is dicolored brown by the spots. Most likley your ECU cant be saved but, people on the trader and tuners are selling them pretty cheap. It would suck though if you have an E-Prom.

Just check it out, although you should really do a compression and leakdown test to find out if you have bad valves.

if your compression is low like under 130, time for a new head.

i have a T-25 and my turbo is doing the exact same thing. It started doing it like 3 days ago. It would spool fine and sound normal, then around 5,000rpm it would bogg down for a second then it would be fine. Now its getting worse. it does it around 3500 when the turbo hits full boost. but it only does it under load. in neutral or with the clutch engaged, it revs fine, but when i get on it, it has a real hard time spooling now. hmmmmm??

I found my problem. After I replaced all my injector seals and my upper intercooler pipe, "the plastic pos" because they were leaking boost, the car still did it. Then I plugged my egr vacuum hose back in and now the car doesn't do it anymore. :thumb: But here is the question. With the vacuum hoses that come from the egr all plugged would that cause the egr to leak under boost???  THnks josh
