turbine housings

i'm looking into getting the bulls eyes turbine housing and i dont know if i should spend the extra 50 bux on the 38 mm wastegate or just stick with the external wastegate that it comes with. i have a 1g 14b and i am planning on boosting 18-19psi.

38mm is the flapper size, and it does not come with a wastegate either way. External most likely means no flapper.

yeah when it say external wastegate.. they mean you suppluy the wastegate such as a tial or something along those lines.. Many people do not like the internal wastegates, But for semi mild (up to 350 or so HP) they are fine. The stock turbos come with them and they work good.

A external is a little more precise so it won't leak until the desired boost is reached giving it a little better spool up..


If you go with bullseye power, which many people have and reccomend, you also have to buy the $150 (I think) wastegate actuator to make it work.

If you go external plan on spending $300 ^ minimum buying new parts to have a decent wastegate.. and having it mounted.

well i'm not planning on going over 350hp...sooo if i jez buy the turbine housing with the 38mm for extra bucks then it'll bolt right up? and is it worth getting for someone on a budget ?
