I just bought a GMMAF and MAFT. I plan on tunning with it till I get dsmlink. I have stock injectors so I should set the base at 2 and the AUX at 4 right? And I zero out the rest and mess with them after I do a couple pulls?

Yes, AUX = 4 and Base = 2. According to your profile, you don't have a logger and your wideband isn't installed yet. If this is still true, I wouldn't tune at all because you'd be doing it all blindly. Wait until you get the wideband installed and/or a logger.

What is MAFT. A tuning software from GM? Whats the cost on that there device?

A MAF-T is just a box that translates the GM MAF signal to something our ECU's can read. This box can be used for a bit of tuning, but is not very reliable or easy to use. It is best used in conjunction with another EMS. A MAF-T (just the translator) costs about $200. Then you also need the GM MAF, and some other parts to install it.

I agree with snowborder714. While Dsmlink is superior, the price for that, plus socketing and laptop might be more reasonable to get a logger and do it old school for a while, more work, but it can be done.

Install your wideband, and get pocketlogger :PocketLOGGER for OBDII

You can find a palmIII on amazon or ebay for like $18-20. I got got pocketlogger on the way and paid $18 for my palmIIIxe w/ cables. :thumb:
