hey guys i just got my new motor put in and am looking for an all around tune. engine currently has around 350 miles.
I was considering going to english racing but they are 300 miles from where i am, kinda sketchy to go all the way down there with no tune. but i could always keep it out of boost the whole way down.
im not really interested in pina i havent heard too great things.
so if anyone knows anywhere that is good at tuning DSMLink for high horsepower without blowing something up id like to hear about it. and personal experiences as well.
 
BOSS Innovations in Tacoma advertises as being experienced at dsm's, If PINA doesn't do it for you, then it sounds like you just need to limp it down to vancouver and talk to Lucas, I haven't heard from anyone about any other shops...but so far nothing but good news about English Racing....I plan on limping my 1g down there this winter to have some work done, and to me it's worth the drive, or the tow, however it may be at the time...
You could always try Speedfactory....not sure if they know dsm's or dsmlink at all though.

ground vision performance is good, they built my motor, but they dont want me sitting in on the tune, but i was set on watching the dyno go downlike most other shops would allow and English said they didn't have a problem with me sitting in on it; and for 300 bucks that's a good price for a tune, from everything from idle tune to WOT. GVP also charges the same amount but they don't have their own dyno so extra rates apply for that which makes things quite a bit more spendy.

Road Race Engineering is about 16ish hours from Tacoma. It'd be a nice weekend trip.

um are you effin kidding me.... who in their right mind would drive that far untuned.. not helpful..:banghead:... im already 2 hours north of tacoma... english is as far as id go.
thread title is "tuning shops in WESTERN WASHINGTON" would still like peoples personal experience with any shops they have used to tune their DSM in washington state.

fair enough. im heading to english. if i cant figure out how to run my car untuned down there with no MAF that should be interesting. i dont have a 4 inch intake ha! i plan to just run a filter over the turbo but im not sure how well that will work out. only thing i can do after installing the turbo, injectors, is put in the ECMLink recomended settings for the PTE 1000s in link. i dont know much about tuning fuel trims though. or how many incriments i should adjust at a time. if i cant figure it out ill end up trailering it down
 
Cant go wrong with English Racing but there is a few other people in western Washington Cant comment on them though :)
 
im probably going to end up trailering my 2g there as well... i have no idea how to dial in the injectors,, or set up the IAT (i havent welded in the bung yet to the throttle body elbow) and i dont have a 4 inch intake to put on my 4 inch inlet, so i need to do SD :) which i know nothing about to drive 300 mile haha
