OK - my car failed emissions on the idle, but it passed during cruise. I barely adjusted the S-AFC the first time, leaned it out a little bit extra for 1000rpm low-throttle. Didn't touch the BISS.

Second time around, leaned it out a LOT more, and backed out the BISS screw, which was explained as raising the idle by adding more air. Sure enough I added about 150-200rpm to the idle. Idled great at about 880rpm. No CEL's or anything.

Checked STFT and LTFT against the pocketlogger, and after the car warmed up and was driven for a while, they read 0% and 0% ! So I thought I was in good shape, the car wasn't trying to add OR remove fuel.

Went to get tested again (one re-test is free) and IT FAILED EVEN WORSE. WAY WORSE. What did I do? The idle sounds BETTER after my adjustments and the logger apparently reads BETTER. But the emissions are WORSE.

So, what do these elements have in common for the idle mixture?

How do you remove unburned fuel from the idle?

Should I screw the BISS all the way IN? Does anyone actually know how the BISS works in conjuction with the S-AFC?

I need to get it retested again ASAP.

if you can post your results from the sniffer, it will be hella easy to tell ya what's goin' on. but without, it's pretty hard to say. sounds like maybe u leaned it out too much, and it's causin' your nox to go up, and maybe you're failing on that, but like i said, hard to say w/o the numbers. Post 'em up and w'ell see what we can do.
