would anyone happen to know on here if you can use an ipod touch for your tuning instead of getting a small laptop, these things are computers basically can access the internet and download apps, has anyone tried this or know of anyone who has or if it can even be done?

it shows three different OBDII scanners hardware that i can purchase i guess that is their supported vendor the prices on those rand from 199 to 250, could i just use and OBD!! device because i found some on ebay for about 80bucks....i would thinhk it would be universal?

I don't know how your going to interface the obd to the i pod or i phone. However, regarding the apps on those things they even have one like that 'gforce unit'. You calibrate the thing by moving the phone then you rip in your car. It'll tell you your 1/4 mile, 0-60, all kinds of information.

yea i saw it shows everything a scan gauge does and then about three times more!!! it looks amazing, and they have the OBD2 that have the wifi on them that transmit to the ipod already ont he website that why i think i should just buy one of those to have instead of risking buying a random OBD2

Wow, I didn't see the wifi one yet. That is interesting. I just got my obd2---db9 with a palm IIIc car charger/house charger for 25.00 shipped! that wifi unit is probably pretty pricey.

thats the link scroll down it shows three or four...and i checked the prices u gotta click a link under the picks the cheapest was for like 150 all the way up to 250...its pretty pricey but i think for what it shows and the info it gives you you wills ave tons of money
